Fragile shimmer

We're gazing out over the little bay outside Stavros Beach, maybe two hours walk from Livadia (or maybe I should say climb) through really rocky and steep terrain (first up crossing the mountains and then down the steep rocks on the other side). It was a special feeling when I came out through the deep cracks in the mountains which made it possible to climb down and saw this beach made out of mostly red sand. I was so happy to be there but I also became shockingly aware of how much garbage and debris that is thrown into our oceans, ending up along the coast lines. I had to climb over piles of plastic containers of all kinds, ropes, nets, cans and more... It made me feel so sad and ashamed. However, even this couldn't destroy the beauty in nature and this beach. The sun glitter over the bay in the slight backlight was amazing and the crystal clear water was overwhelming. I was all alone together with the mountains and sea. The water was calm, and when I was walking in the warm water along the beach, the small waves which surrounded my legs and embraced the sand felt like the heart beats of nature. It felt like my own heart slowly fell into the same calm rhythm, with every moment I stayed there. Slowly synchronizing with the waves from the sea. Pompom...pompom...pompom, and I felt so relaxed. Like if every wave was healing me. But as soon as I turned around I also felt so ashamed and scared that this place could end up to look like a garbage dump. It's all so fragile. We need nature to heal us, but all we do is to hurt it...
